What data this site handles
Visiting the site
The site is a static page hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver the page and keep it safe from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data that every browser sends: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and device type. We don't use this data to identify you, build profiles or advertise. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare acts as our processor; see the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising. If you press the speaker button, your browser remembers that choice in local storage (wb_sound) so the sound stays the way you left it. It never leaves your device and you can delete it by clearing your browser's site data. Because it only stores something you explicitly asked for, it doesn't need consent (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive).
The trailer (YouTube)
The trailer is not loaded until you press play. Only then does your browser connect to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) through its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From that moment Google receives your IP address and may store data on your device as described in the Google privacy policy. Legal basis: your consent, given by pressing play (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you'd rather not, watch it directly on YouTube or just don't press play.
Emailing us
If you write to us, we use your email address and what you send us only to reply (for example to handle press or key requests). Legal basis: answering your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Emails are forwarded via Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox at Gmail (Google Ireland Limited), which stores them for us; see the Google privacy policy. We keep them as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, then delete them.
Links to other sites
Links to Steam, Discord, X, TikTok and YouTube take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Nothing is sent to them until you click.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare and Google may process data in the United States. Both are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and also use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 45 and 46 GDPR).
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest or withdraw consent at any time (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Just email press@wokebustersgame.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in your country of residence or in Italy, where Lit Games is established, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
We don't make automated decisions about you, and this site isn't aimed at collecting data from children.
